Update from the Farm
Hope you are all well and warm.
Life on the farm is going well if not a little chilly. Despite snow forecast earlier in the week it never settled on the ground although it was -4 degrees overnight and this morning with an amazing frost and frozen water pipes.
My day starts at 7.35 when I get Briar up and ready for school and drop her to the bus (we nearly missed it one day). It’s been ending round 9pm when I finish doing a night cow check with Mike. He took me in and bought me an amazing warm jacket to keep me nice and Toastie.
As well as evening meals I’ve made this week: scones, apple shortcake, lime cheesecake, raspberry slice, skillet brownie, lemon pudding, sausage rolls and bacon & egg pie. Some days I also think I make more coffees than at home lol.
Sprinty is doing well although she didn’t enjoy walking on frozen ground today. She’s been enjoying running round with the farm dogs and daily walks.
Kids are great and it’s lovely spending time with the granddaughters.
Still looking at coming home and opening for a couple of days and a catch up but will keep you posted as to when exactly.
Take care
