🍕 WE’RE HIRING – FOH + KITCHEN ASSISTANT 🌮
Lovy’s Eatery is looking for a reliable, friendly and energetic person to join our small team in Te Aro, Wellington.
This is a casual position with potential for more hours and a permanent role for the right person.
What you’ll be doing:
• Welcoming customers and creating a friendly experience
• Explaining our specials and menu items
• Taking orders and serving food & drinks
• Keeping the dining area clean and organised
• Helping with basic kitchen prep and kitchen duties when there are no tables waiting
• General restaurant cleaning and closing duties
• Helping the team wherever needed during busy periods
•barista experience preferred
Hours: roughly 15-20 a week
Monday–Sunday
• Afternoon: approximately 1:30pm–3:00pm (depending on the day)
• Evenings: generally 6:00pm–9:00pm on weekdays
• Weekend evenings may run later depending on how busy we are
Hours can increase for the right person, especially as the business grows.
We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Is friendly, confident and comfortable talking to customers
✔️ Has a good work ethic and can work independently
✔️ Is reliable and turns up on time
✔️ Can stay calm and helpful when things get busy
✔️ Is happy to work both FOH and in the kitchen
✔️ Restaurant/café experience is preferred, but the right attitude matters most
