Indian cuisine is your craft? We want you in our kitchen! 👨‍🍳🌶️

Baar Baar is looking for an experienced chef with strong Indian culinary skills and proven experience preparing authentic Indian food. Experience in Indian cuisine is essential.

🍛 YOUR ROLE

* Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes with consistent flavour, quality and presentation.
* Confidently work with Indian spices, masalas, marinades and traditional cooking techniques.
* Manage daily preparation and your kitchen section during busy service.
* Contribute ideas for Indian dishes and specials.
* Maintain food safety, hygiene and allergen standards.
* Manage stock, ingredient storage and portion control to minimise waste.
* Work closely with the team to deliver a great dining experience.

🌟 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

* Proven experience as a chef in an Indian restaurant or commercial kitchen specialising in Indian cuisine.
* Strong knowledge of Indian flavours, ingredients and cooking methods.
* Pride in your food, attention to detail and a positive team attitude.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
* Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
