Word on the Street Benedict Burger is our interpretation of this year’s WOAP theme: Word of Mouth

Some of the best places you’ll ever eat aren’t found through advertising. They’re discovered because someone says, “You’ve got to try this place.”

Our Word on the Street benedict burger celebrates that idea.

Rather than inventing something completely new, we’ve reimagined CableTop’s most loved brunch staple, a dish that has become our signature because of one simple thing: people telling other people about it.

But word of mouth doesn’t stop with us.

With every WOAP burger, you’ll receive a note from our Jar of Gems. Read someone else’s recommendation for one of Wellington’s favourite local cafés, restaurants, bars or hidden gems, then write down one of your own and add it back to the jar.

Together we’re creating a community collection of local favourites, encouraging people to explore, share and support Wellington’s incredible hospitality scene.

We’ve also introduced our Carpool Discount.

We’re proud to present our entry for Visa Wellington On a Plate 2026.

A brunch classic, reimagined. Smoked ham hock, Shelvington Farm free-range egg, crunchy potato rosti, smoked cheddar, wild watercress with kawakawa, house-made lemon hollandaise, all served on a house-baked English muffin with a shaved fennel and tangelo salad.
