After 23 years of serving the people of Wellington we understand that you want Indian food with a difference, remember not all Indian food was created the same. Come in and try this difference, you will be pleasantly surprised of what Maharajas has to offer your palate.

To our friends and customers it is with a heavy heart that we close our doors temporarily for this year. It has taken a while for us to post as we have had a lot on.

We want to thank you all for your continued support and cherish the friendships we have built.

The past 31 years have been an adventure, from our 30 seater to what we have now, it has not always been easy but, with such amazing patrons and friends you have made it easy for us.

We have some changes to our building coming in the near future and things have changed at a fast pace. This is not a goodbye, it is a see you next year! Watch this space and keep well.

Our Indian summer has come to an end… we have had a lovely holiday, rested and raring to go! Looking forward serving the food you love so much and looking forward to seeing your faces again from Tuesday 9 May.

We are off to India to give our Maharajas family some much needed time off. An impromptu trip away to recharge, we will be back 9 May.
