Kia ora Wellington!

Big one for the calendar: ONE DAY ONLY. 7th October 2026.

Chaat Street by Vaibhav Vishen x apapacho.nz are joining forces for a proper Indian-Mexican feast and honestly, this isn’t just a fun gimmick. It’s rooted in real history: think El Ranchero in California, the legendary Indian-Mexican restaurant born when Punjabi farmers and Mexican women intermarried in the early 1900s and built a whole new cuisine out of it. Roti met tortillas. Curry met salsa. It’s a genuinely wild and beautiful piece of food history and we’re paying homage to it for one day only.

📍 Chaat Street, 171 Willis Street, Te Aro
🕚 11am–2pm & 5pm–late (or until we sell out)

We’re keeping 50% of spots for walk-ins, but if you want to guarantee your seat; book now, because this is going to go FAST.

See you there. Bring your appetite and your sense of adventure

Treat your dad this Father’s Day!

Dads don’t ask for much. So this Father’s Day, we’re doing something a little different, a proper Sunday roast, Chaat Street way. One day only.

This Sunday, 6th September 2026, 12pm-3pm Chaat Street by Vaibhav Vishen
Mention “ROAST” in the notes when you book and Dad gets a drink on the house!

Daal makhni x burrata. That’s it!

Chef Vishesh shows you how it comes together. Creamy, buttery, stupidly good.

Doesn’t last long on the pass, doesn’t last long on the table 😅

Kashmiri Kanti in the making!

Been a menu favourite since day one, and honestly? On a cold Wellington evening, this is exactly what you want.

Pull up a chair and dig in.
