What a year it's been! ☀️🌱

What started out as a one day a week proposal at Club Waitarere developed into so much more!! With the early addition of amazing staff, we catered some memorable events and celebrations at Waitarere beach.
Thank you to Club Waitarere and their committee for taking a chance on us - despite 'the food industry' not being our primary experience.
Thank you to our family for all their support, without whom, Kai Kings Eatery & Kai Kings On-the-go would never have been 💯

In a few weeks we will be wrapping up this adventure permanently, but we thank each and everyone of our customers for their business, our staff for their time, effort and contributions, our colleagues, friends and families - thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏

Kai Kings will be open the following Friday nights:

24 September from 5.30pm
1 October from 5.30pm
8 October from 5.30pm
And our final day 15 October from 5.30pm.
We will no longer be providing the Sunday Roast due to covid restrictions.

Hey everyone! It's fabulicious Friday ☀️

Tonight we're open from 5.30pm ready and waiting to serve you and the family some tasty eats and treats at Club Waitarere.

Sign in upon arrival and fine a table in the dining hall - if one isn't already appointed to you.
It's table service tonight, so we'll do all the walking for you! Just sit back and relax 🌱

Please let our wait staff know if you have any dietary requirements and we hope you enjoy your night.

As we are still in level alert level 2 we will be providing table service to all our guests.
Please be mindful there could be possible wait times to ensure the table is ready for the next sitting.

We're serving from 5.30pm, so pop-in and say hi!

Hey everyone!

Now that the kiddies have returned to school and businesses are allowed to re-open, Club Waitarere too are open tonight.

Unfortunately they are catering to only 50 people at a time, so signing in is mandatory and they are asking those who visit to wear masks and social distance. Please limit it to just family, so others may also pop-in. (Masks can be removed to eat & drink).

Due to the smaller numbers, Kai Kings have been advised to remain closed and open next Friday.
Our staff are willing and waiting for next week to serve you up a delicious menu to fill up those hungry tummies.

In the meantime, enjoy cooking in your kitchen and have fun! Here are a few ideas for our Friday night dinner...
1. Crock pot dinner... just set and forget 👌
2. Burgers. Easy go to for the whole family.
3. Nachos. Make it fun!
4. Pizza 🍕
5. Fried rice or a stir fry 🥢
Whatever you choose, it's Friday - make it enjoyable, easy to create and being the end of the week - it's ok to treat yourself 🥳

Hey everyone ☀️

We hope you are all safe, warm and enjoying the extended lockdown. Here we go for another week!

What this means for us is our doors are closed until at least Friday 3rd September. Due to level 4 restrictions we simply cannot afford to put you, your families or our staff members at risk.

We ask that you all take care and use the time at home to be creative in the kitchen 🙃
Food is fun, especially with good company 🌱
Try something you've always wanted to make, but didn't have the time.

If you're after a quick snack - try a delicious toastie or sambo! The options are endless!
☆ Three different cheeses (colby, tasty, jarlsberg, gouda camembert, brie, swiss, smoked - whatever you fancy)
☆ Ham, Cheese & onion (with some cranberry or jam)
☆ Left over dinner bits with cheese and onion..then grill in your toastie maker or pan until golden brown and all the cheese has melted. Add a sprinkling of salt over the top and eat!!

Wishing you a safe week in isolation so no one is missing when we get together again 🙂

From the initial lockdown in 2020 our rewana bread was initiated. Our starter has been shared with many people since then - so others can enjoy what we've created.
And it's so nice to smell a fresh one in the oven today!

As New Zealand begins it's Snap Lockdown from today, we regret to inform you Club Waitarere will be closed until a minimum of Friday midnight, which also means Kai Kings Eatery will not be open for business this entire week.
