Welcome to EMJAYZ, a culinary journey that celebrates the vibrant flavors of Singapore and the warmth of family memories. Our story begins in the heart of Singapore, where our founder was born and spent the early years of life, immersed in the rich Javanese-Singaporean culture of their mother and the love of their father, a serviceman from New Zealand. The inspiration for EMJAYZ was born out of a

time of hardship, as our founder cared for their father during his battle with cancer. It was during this time that the desire to recreate the delicious meals their mother used to cook became a beacon of hope and a symbol of resilience. Tragically, both parents were lost to cancer, but their memory lives on in every dish we serve. Named EMJAYZ, using the phonetic spelling of the first letters of our founder’s parents’ names, our food truck is a tribute to their love and legacy. Now based in New Zealand, EMJAYZ is proud to bring the exciting flavours of our founder’s heritage to your plate. We invite you to join us in celebrating life, love, and the power of food to connect us all. Enjoy a taste of Singapore, a dash of New Zealand, and a whole lot of heart in every bite.

Today isn’t just ANZAC Day for our family β€” it’s part of our whakapapa.
My Father served over 30 years. I served. My Husband served 20 years. Even my Sister put on the uniform. And now our daughter is stepping up and going through the recruiting process.

Service shaped us. It taught us discipline, resilience, sacrifice and what it means to stand for something bigger than yourself.

So today we honour those who never came home, those who carried the weight long after they did and those who still choose to serve.

Lest we forget.
