Spring is coming, and so is a new chapter of Curbside!
Curbside Toastie started with a pretty simple idea, make some delicious gourmet toasties for the people of Timaru.
But over time, we realised we'd put ourselves in a bit of a niche box with just toasties, when our own passion and creativity wanted more.
We also needed something to get you through the door a little earlier on weekends, so we started playing around with making our own bagels, just to see what would happen...
Then came the other options. Fried chicken sandwiches, and eventually our deli-style focaccia sandwiches. The amazing feedback you guys gave us along the way gave us the confidence to keep trying new things.
And before long, our bagels and sandwiches were continuously outselling our toasties.
You guys became obsessed with eating them, and we became obsessed with crafting and perfecting them.
We spent hours researching, rolling, testing and critiquing every little detail in our mission to create the perfect NYC-style bagel right here in Timaru. Then we did it all over again with our focaccia, developing our own breads, sauces and flavour packed fillings, many of which will be launched in September 😉
Somewhere along the way, Curbside became much more than just a toastie shop. Our bagels and sandwiches became what you came for, and crafting them became what we loved doing most.
So, Curbside Toastie will be evolving into Curbside Deli - Timaru's own Bagel & Focaccia Sandwich spot!
From September 1st we will be entering our new delicious chapter, dropping the toasties 😢 and jumping ALL IN on our Housemade Bagels & Sandwiches! Trust us, its worth dropping our toasties over 😉
So now that we've put it out out there, come grab your last Toastie from us this week before our big change 🫶 Open Wed - Sun 9am -3pm
