The Brantry has been a restaurant for over 30 years.
It was one of the first permanent homes to be built on Rifle Range Road.
Over the past 24 years we have had many stories of what the cellar once was.
Apparently it was the home of the Dillion family who owned a sports store down town, it was built for his guns. Then it housed the BNZ manager and it was the document vault while they built the BNZ in Tongairio Street.
We have had guests that ask to book the cellar so they can propose to their loved one.
