Hi there folks just a wee note to address all the rumours circulating about whether we are open or not. Firstly we are open and will continue to be open until 17 December. Secondly, MLT will take over the restaurant from 8 January with Paula at the helm along with our current staff. We are available for bookings and our Christmas Function on 9 December still has some seating available. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries. Kind regards from the sawyers team.

Tonight we have our roast beef for $20 per person and for those who missed out on Friday we have ribs again tonight both have limited serves available so call us to book in advance so you don't miss out and yes we can do them as takeaway

Did you know that on the 3rd Sunday of the month we have a breakfast buffet from 10am?
Well this Sunday the Forrest lodge bar will open at 7:45am for the RWC quarter finals: All Blacks vs Ireland so why not come down to watch the game then join us for breakfast afterwards

So if you are looking for something to do this Sunday and want to air out your favourite toy, bike, tractor, classic or you just want a drive in the great country side then come along we would love to see you. Full continental & cooked breakfast/brunch. We are only 20 mins from Gore heading south. Turn off by the milk plant

Hi there folks, we apologize for any inconvenience caused with being closed last night. Unfortunately the weather and flooding affected some staff members and it was decided that to be safe we would close for the night. We are however, open tonight for takeaways and dinning in. Our cheesecake this week is baileys and chocolate. We also have sole on the menu until sold out.
