Here at Viv's Kitchen our motto is "Food The Way it Used To Be", good old fashioned homemade food, using real ingredients, no packet mixes used here !! and we are Famous for our huge CREAM HORNS, with literally thousands having been sold ! We realise times have change so we can also cater for the Gluten Free, with a specific menu. We have lovely staff, a huge car park, and a massive outdoor area t

o enjoy. We have a tree house, and playground equipment for the kids to have some fun and give mums and dads a bit of peace while enjoying their food outside under one of our a lovely new umbrellas or a tree. and we are also happy for the family dog to get out and stretch their legs as well. Good evening everyone
You might remember when I did a post for Mothers Day, regarding one lovely mum, who's son and daughter- in-law brought her to visit.
That lovely mum was 87 year old Frances..and you might remember I gave you a little bit of history regarding Frances and how she learnt to fly in 1954 aged just 16. Not only did she learn to fly, but she learnt in a Tigermoth.
Frances was very sprightly and had a beautiful beaming smile...
Well its with great sadness I have to report that we received the news last week that Frances has passed away.

We were very privileged to have met Frances and we thank her family for sharing her story with us and allowing us to share it with you all.
Rest in Peace and Fly High Frances ❤️

Good morning everyone

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, but now its back to business 😊
I must admit, yesterday for us was one of those very busy days and I also have to admit we were very glad to have it. We are putting the busyness down to people coming and going to the Hurricanes game.

Although we've been ticking along, we've missed the hype of the crazy busy days. Like a lot of hospitality business, ( im guessing), we too have noticed a downturn since the fuel price hike.
Understandably, people just don't have the extra money to spend, as it has to cover their everyday fuel costs. Sadly, its real and people are struggling.
The school holidays are not to far away, and yes....we're hoping they will be good to us, we have a few new projects planned and a couple already underway, but..... just like everyone else, without the extra busy days, we have to put them on hold until we can afford to do so.
So with that...a big thank you to every one who manages to pop into visit us, (and to those who would like to but just can afford the extra) we know its not easy out there and life truly can be a struggle. Hopefully things will take a turn for the better soon and we can all get back to enjoying all that life has to offer.... and for us.... we can hopefully get on and finish a few projects that are going to make your visit just a little more enjoyable.
Keep a watch on the page and on a brighter note, I will have a Charlie update 😻 I know how much so many of you look forward to that.

Good morning ebryones
Im back and im bigger and betters than ever.

Mum said she told you all that I went to that place where they makes you feels better. I don't knows why I went though...I wasn't sick, but I do knows I had a sleep when I was there and when I left I felts like I was weighing lighter than when I went in.... like I had left somefing behind 😼 but I know mum was happy cause she said I has gained weights and I'm 2.6 kg. I don't know what that means but hey...it made my mum happy.

I also heard mum saying what they did to me, will be goods and it will slow me down a bit and stop me pouncing all over my sisters Boo & Lucy.
Well.....did I have news for her 😸nufings slowing me down, I came out of there better than when I went in and I'm still showing all of them whos boss!!
Just look at the picture thing, look at big sis Boo trying to hide from me 😹

Don't tells mum I told you, but I don't knows how Boo fits in there...shes soooo big...not tiny like me.
Mum says I has to leave her and Lucy alone or I'll go somewhere else to live 🙀 between me and yous though, I finks mums telling fibs, cause I know she and dad's luvs me and I can get away with doing whatever I like !!!
I can be really naughty sometimes but I hear them says.." hes just a kitten " Haha, see, told you....I can do whatever I like !!

Guess what else I'ves been doing...Mum has been taking me outside, but I don't like it. Its sooo big out there, I look around and I runs back inside. Mum & Dad said Im a scaredy cat, but just you wait till im big and brave, I'll show yous all how tough I am.
They need to remembers, I looked after myself for months before they brought me here and did all the nice fings for me.
Im not a scaredy cat....I just like the cosy warm inside.
Anyways ebryone, I gotta go now, I have food to eat, games to play, pats to have and sisters to annoy 😸

Good Sunday morning everyone

Well how did that happen?
13,000 followers.

Probably not a lot compared to some but pretty damn good for Little Old Sanson 😊

I have to wonder is it down to the Cream Horns, the food in our cabinets, the playground, the many lovely people who have crossed our paths, the service you receive from our lovely team, or is it the KitKats and Charlie cats that have suddenly taken over my page 😻
Whatever it is we are truly grateful and appreciate you all, without you we would not be 😊
Enjoy the little reel...its just a small piece of the huge Viv's Kitchen story and only a handful of memories and people I would like to share. If I could share every memory it would take forever.
So once again, thank you all, we appreciate you 👍❤️

I discovered last night, that each and every one of his four paws have this little tuft of white fur, just below his little black toe beans ❤️

Good morning ebryones , its me Charlie

Well its not a good day...first off, for some reason I woke up this mornings and mum wouldn't feed me, not even some milks and I even tried to bribes her with chin rubs and purrs.

What's going on I thought?
Next fing I know, mums back from works and she had that cage thing out.
I didn't minds going in that cage fing last time, because I was sooooo sick I wanted mum to take me to the place that makes you better.
NOT today though....
Why the cage fing?
Theres nufing wrong with me.
I wasn't playing ball this time, NO WAY.
Haha, I made mum follow me's all around the house. I was too quick for her though, finally she got me and she put me in the cage fing, but I got out 😸
Next fing I know shes got me a treat, I knew I'd win.....
I must have if shes giving me a treat.
But NO... it turns out my mums more clever than me.....this time she was bribing me!!
She got me.
I went for a ride in the cage fing in the big moving fing and now Im at that place where they makes you better.
I has no ideas what Im doing here, but Ive heards mum saying somefing about getting rid of my boy bits 🙀
Pray for me everyone and I let you all knows how I am when I gets out of here.

Good morning everyone
As you know the lovely Mel (who would bring Harlen out to visit), left her job just a week ago, so yesterday was our first visit without her.
He still had Steph( his friendship buddy) and his new career Manny.
We wish Manny all the best in taking on Mel's position, but goodness he has some big shoes to fill.

After 11 years of bringing Harlen to visit us, I personally truly miss Mel coming out with him, not only was it lovely to see how much she cared for Harlen but it was also our 2 weekly catch up.
But, life goes on as they say and sadly nothing stays the same.

This coming week however, will see Harlen celebrate another birthday, I made him a lovely carrot cake and the girls all joined in and sang Happy Birthday to him......
I think he was so happy he ran out of puff to blow out his candle 😄
So I hope you enjoy the little catch up video...its been a while since we had a Harlen one.

Good morning everyone
I was going to hold off on the Charlie posts for a bit, but I couldn't help but share this video, as I know for some of you , its going to start your week off with a beautiful smile.

Charlie is doing very well health wise, but still has his moments of whether to trust or not.
So last night while sitting on his sister Boo's blanket, I googled the videos of " Cat Fish Games"
As you can see for yourself, he thoroughly enjoyed his challenge of catching fish.

He might need to be bribed with it again on Wednesday though, when the poor wee lad is off to the vets to remove his boy bits 😲
Hopefully that helps calm him just a little bit more.

Good Afternoon everyone

You'll remember a couple of weeks back I posted a photo of my Lemon Cheesecakes and ask you all what would be your favourite flavour. I have to say " most " of you did like Lemon.
Today I had a mix of both Biscoff and Oreo ones.
The Oreo ones sold out rather quickly and at this stage theres just a couple of the Biscoff left.
Have to say, I still love Lemon, but a Biscoff might have to go home with me tonight 😄😋
