A place to stop, refresh, relax and enjoy an array of interesting and unique food. Fresh, local produce, organics and condiments sit side by side with Italian, German and Spanish gourmet treats, boutique beers, wine and of course great coffee. Sarah Uhl had a vision to create an oasis for travellers and locals that offered them an exprience like no other. Not only that, Okere Falls Store aims to be as gentle on the environment as possible. You wont find Coca-Cola products here...in October 2016 Sarah announced that the company was not a fit for the Okere Falls Store given the rising rate of obesity in New Zealand and the impact that plastic bottles are having on the environment. www.okerefallsstore.co.nz

We’re incredibly grateful to be recognised alongside so many amazing restaurants and hospitality businesses. It’s a privilege to do what we do every day, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible staff suppliers and, most importantly, our wonderful customers.

Meet Meg 🤩 Always with a smile, and up for a good chat. She’s a crafty hat making enthusiast. Barista and front of house all rounder.

Fav drink - Latte with honey and cinnamon in the morning, and a margarita in the eve.

Fav meal - Vegan sausage roll from the pie cabinet.

Work likes - Great daily chats with colleagues and customers, and working next to the lake.

Work dislikes - When it’s busy and I don’t have time to pet the many lovely doggos.

Fav tunes - Anything that makes you groove!

Outside of work - Getting out to the coast surfing, or into the redwoods with friends.

Thanks to the internet we have been given the name of the person who stole our tip jar. His name is Joshua Condliffe. He has ripped off at least one other Rotorua cafe that we know of. Keep an eye out for him, we have given all information to the police. Thanks for all your help.
