As we close the doors for winter, we'd like to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to our incredible team who bring Punga Cove Resort to life every day. Your passion, hard work and genuine hospitality are at the heart of everything we do, and we're so grateful for all you've done this season.

And to our guests.. thank you for being part of our journey. Whether you arrived by boat, on foot, or simply popped in to enjoy the views, you've helped create another season full of great memories, laughter and connection.

Now it's time for a well-deserved winter break before we do it all again next season.

As dawn breaks over Endeavour Inlet and the cove sits quietly, we take a moment to reflect. ANZAC Day invites us to remember the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who came before us.

Punga Cove has long been a place of rest and reflection for travellers passing through this special part of the Sounds. Today, we honour those whose legacy allows us to share it so freely.

We were delighted to see Punga Cove mentioned in this recent Marlborough article featuring Edward and Mariana of Oak & Ivy.

Before opening their restaurant in Blenheim, Edward spent several years working as a chef here at Punga Cove in the Marlborough Sounds. It was here that he met Mariana, and where their Marlborough story truly began.

As Edward shared in the article, it was during their time in the Sounds that they became more rooted, discovering the incredible local producers, wineries and ingredients that make this region so special.

Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to have many talented people work in our kitchens and across our team. It’s always something we’re proud of. Seeing former team members go on to create something exceptional is a real privilege.

Congratulations to Edward and Mariana on what they’ve built with Oak & Ivy and for continuing to add quality to the Marlborough food scene.
