Entries for the 2026 Marlborough Mt Everest Challenge open TOMORROW, and the Seumus’ Irish Bar team has a brand-new name this year…

🍻 POUR DECISIONS 🍻

And everyone is welcome to join us!

Most of us will be aiming to climb our own Everest, but being part of Pour Decisions means you’re also contributing to our team total - and, more importantly, you’ve got a crew behind you while you do it.

We’ll have a group chat where we can share progress, encourage each other and throw out a “Anyone keen for a walk?” whenever someone’s heading out.

Join the walk. Don’t join the walk. Climb with others. Climb entirely on your own. Smash out Everest or simply do what you can.

There’s no pressure - just be involved.

It’s a great excuse to get outside heading into summer, meet some people, challenge yourself, raise money for a great cause and have a bit of fun along the way.

And naturally, we’ll organise a few post-walk drinks at Seumus’ too. 🍻☘️

Last year we had an awesome team, and we’d love to make this one even bigger.

MARLBOROUGH MT EVEREST CHALLENGE 2026 🏔️

We’re getting the Seumus’ Irish Bar team together again - and we’d love to make it even bigger this year!

For the last few years, we’ve taken on the Mt Everest Challenge as a team, and it’s become such a good way to get outside, meet some different people and have a bit of fun heading into summer.

It’s super social and absolutely no pressure. Do your climbs when it suits you, head out on your own, grab a mate, or join us for some group walks. Being part of the team just means you’ve got a bit of extra support and encouragement along the way - and you don’t have to conquer Everest entirely by yourself!

This year we’ll organise a few group walks, plus the very important after-walk drink 🍻☘️

Last year our Irish Bar crew even came away with an award for the most height climbed - so who knows what we can tick off together this year!
