🎉 25 years of Kumarism! 🎉

We’re proud to be celebrating 25 years since we first opened our doors—now in our third generation—and we’re planning a special anniversary celebration soon. Without all of you, we wouldn’t have made it this far. There has been hardship along the way, but we’ve stayed strong.

Review of Kumars Something Special Restaurant, Paeroa: A banquet fit for a king

🍮 Vappa Dahi (Steamed Yogurt)
Ingredients
• ¾ Cup Yogurt / Curd
• ¾ Cup Condensed Milk
• ¼ Cup Milk
• 1 Pinch Saffron
• 1 Tbsp Milk (For Soaking Saffron)
• Chopped Pistachios (For Garnish)
• Oil – For Greasing
• Extra Saffron – For Topping

Method
1. Prepare Saffron Milk
o Soak A Pinch Of Saffron In 1 Tbsp Milk And Keep Aside.
2. Make The Mixture
o In A Bowl Add Yogurt, Condensed Milk, And Milk.
o Mix Well Until Smooth.
o Add The Saffron Milk And Mix Again.
3. Prepare The Bowl
o Brush Oil Inside A Katori / Heatproof Bowl.
o Pour The Prepared Mixture Into The Bowl.
o Sprinkle Chopped Pistachios On Top.
o Cover The Bowl Tightly With Foil.
4. Steam Cook
o Pour 2 Cups Boiling Water Into A Curry Pan.
o Place A Tray Or Stand Inside The Pan.
o Keep The Covered Bowl On The Tray.
o Cover With Lid And Steam Cook For 15 Minutes On Medium Flame.
5. Cool & Set
o Remove From Heat And Let It Cool.
o Refrigerate For 2 Hours To Set Well.
6. Serve
o Carefully Demould.
o Garnish With Saffron On Top.

✨ Tips
• Use Thick Yogurt For Best Texture.
• Do Not Over-Steam; It Should Be Just Set.
• Serve Chilled For The Best Taste.
