Welcome to Fat Fantail Café + Gifts 🐦

This rebrand has been a journey of reflection, growth, and connection. While our name is changing, the things that matter most remain exactly the same, great coffee and food from our sister Fat Kiwi Cafe, fresh beautiful gifts, fresh plants & flowers, friendly faces, and a place where our community feels at home.

So why the change?

Fat Fantail brings us together with our flock - Fat Pigeon Cafe, Fat Owl Motel, Bar & Eatery, and Fat Kiwi Cafe. Each store has its own unique personality, but we share the same values, passion for great customer experiences, and love of creating spaces people enjoy visiting.

The fantail is a much-loved New Zealand bird, known for its friendly nature, curiosity, and ability to brighten your day, qualities we hope you'll find every time you visit us.

This rebrand is about more than a new logo or a new name. It's about creating a stronger connection between our stores while celebrating the local character and community spirit that makes each one special.
