Milligans Café & Store Cafe Milligans Café & Store is located in an historic building located just along from the Oamaru Gardens on the corner of Chelmer and Cross Streets.

Built around 1910/11 for Frederick and Anne Chase, it was given the Maori name Koroneihana, meaning coronation, as it was built in the years of King George V’s ascension to the British throne and his coronation. The café & store has an experienced and dedicated team who provide friendly service, combined with scrumptious food and barista made drinks at our cosy and welcoming venue. We also have a

great selection of Milligans products on the shelves, with the best value cheese in town and classic Granny Faye’s mixes. Our new gluten-free batter mix is now available too—perfect for anyone looking for a delicious alternative! The menu caters for customer favourites along with seasonal changes using ingredients from local suppliers and producers where possible. It’s also the home of the iconic Frosty Boy brand with shakes, sundaes and merchandise. We have wheelchair access, two separate rooms inside, of which one can be closed off for privacy on request for larger group get-togethers. Our outdoor spaces are located at the front of the building as well as a small patio area at the rear, plus free off-street customer parking and a fenced children’s playground. The café is open Monday and Tuesday, then closed for Christmas and New Year. These are the last two days to stock up for the holidays with our store products and have a coffee catch-up with friends. Our café vouchers are ideal for gifting, and store products can be used to make a Christmas hamper. Frosty Boy merchandise is available to purchase and is a cool and iconic gift. There's something for everyone.
