August 5% Project - Fitzroy Surf Lifesaving Club 🌊

This month, the Shining Peak 5% Project is supporting Fitzroy Surf Life Saving Club.

For more than 100 years, their volunteers have been protecting lives at New Plymouth’s busiest beach while training the next generation of lifesavers. From rescue equipment to lifeguard training, your support helps ensure the red and yellow flags continue to represent a safe day at the beach for everyone.

Fitzroy Surf Life Saving Club relies on the support of our community, sponsors, and volunteers to provide this essential service. Funds raised through the 5% Project will help us train lifeguards, maintain rescue equipment, and patrol our beach keeping locals and visitors to the region safe.

Grab a beer, back a great cause, and help support the people who are always ready to answer the call.

🏆 Fresh off a Trophy + Gold at the New Zealand Beer Awards '26, and now Bravo! is available to you.

The yarn behind the brew: back in 1969, backing the arts in New Plymouth could get you spat on in the street. Then president of the Operatic Society, John Murphy, copped some of that spray while fighting to save the Opera House from the wrecking ball. Good thing he did. It wasn't curtains after all. Murphy's efforts helped keep the Showplace standing, and it still hosts world class productions today.

Bravo! celebrates 100 years of the New Plymouth Operatic Society with a proper ensemble of old school and modern US hops. Pine, citrus and tropical resin take centre stage on a lean malt base. A brew that lands like a standing ovation on closing night.

Our West Coast IPA is officially launching today at the Malthouse WCIPA Challenge.
