Hi everyone, it's Stan from The Turf.

Just a quick update to let everyone know that The Turf will be closed this Wednesday and Thursday due to a licence suspension following a controlled purchase operation last month.

A minor was served alcohol after an incorrect age calculation by a staff member. While I was away at the time, the responsibility ultimately sits with me, and I fully accept that.

I'm incredibly disappointed that it happened because I believe we set high standards at The Turf. We've already introduced new procedures and age-checking tools, and we'll be using the closure period to do further training and reinforce our expectations around compliance and ID checks.

I want to reassure everyone that we take this extremely seriously and are committed to making sure it never happens again.

We'll be back open on Friday and look forward to seeing you all then.
