Hey everybody,
Sorry it has taken me so long to post this but I think it’s time now so with much sadness we will be losing our amazing beautiful barista Katie this Saturday.

Not only has Katie impacted a lot of lives teaching her amazing barista skills, but she has also made a forever family here at the Habitat for Humanity Nelson community and her shoes will be very hard to fill.

Please pop on down to the cafe this week to wish her the best and get your famous “coffee made by Katie”, I just know she’ll love being bombarded for her last week 🤣 make it count!

Katie Guild you have grown into such an amazing person, so from our whole team and the surrounding habitat hub we wish you all the best in spreading you wings in another part of the country 😢

Did you know having a coffee or a delicious treat at the fabulous Nook. Cafe supports Habitat for Humanity's housing programmes!

Nook. cafe will be closed this Saturday (27th) but it’s normally open 6 days a week so you can shop Nelson ReStore and have a coffee, treat or lunch at the same time as supporting your community!

National Volunteer Week / Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu

National Volunteer Week honours the collective energies and mana of volunteers in Aotearoa.

Come down to the cafe inside the cafe every Tuesdays 9-12pm to meet the wonderful volunteers from our repair cafe.

Thank you very much Nelson repair cafe for all the mahi and dedication, but also for all the laughs you bring with you.

But with the winter blues hitting our team, and in order for us to all heal and get better we need to rest and close tomorrow Saturday 15 June.

We are surrounded by such an amazing community, glad we could do our little part in fueling the hard workers👌

We are thrilled to announce that with your incredible support, we raised $4,517 at our Charity Sale this past Saturday! These funds will be split equally between the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter and Nelson Tasman Hospice, helping them continue their vital work in our community. 🚁💖🏥

A shout out to Nook. Cafe and Habitat for Humanity providing hot drinks and food for the team on the day, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up bright and early. Your enthusiasm and generosity were overwhelming—we sold out of insulation before lunchtime! It was heartwarming to see our local community come together for a worthy cause.
