❄️ Winter Warmer Recipe Series

There's nothing better than a golden, gooey cheese toastie on a cold winter's day.

This month we're sharing one of our favourite cosy lunches, made even better with our Caramelised Onion Relish – slow cooked with Hawke's Bay onions and balsamic vinegar for a rich, sweet flavour.

🧀 Caramelised Onion & Cheese Toasties

Ingredients
🧅 2 slices of sourdough or your favourite bread
🧅 Butter
🧅 A generous spoonful of our Caramelised Onion Relish
🧅 A handful of grated aged cheddar (or brie for a delicious twist)

Method:
Butter the outside of each slice of bread.
Spread a generous layer of Caramelised Onion Relish on the inside.
Add the cheese and sandwich together.
Cook in a frying pan or sandwich press until golden and crisp, with the cheese beautifully melted.
Serve with a bowl of hot tomato soup for the perfect winter lunch.

Our Caramelised Onion Relish isn't just for toasties. It's also delicious with burgers, gourmet pies, grazing platters, roasted vegetables and your favourite cheeses.
