Developed in 1996 in a historic old wool store dating back to 1882 Shed 2 has both an extensive menu and wine list to satisfy the most discerning customers. We are a casual restaurant with VFM value for money attitude. In thw inter the big open fire is an attractive place to sit around an try our craft beers or perhaps an Italian wood fired pizzas. In the summer the great open doors beckon to an extensive deck overlooking the water and fishing and leisure boats

Not many buildings in Napier can tell a story like this one.

Built in 1878 as a wool store for Williams & Kettle, this shed spent 114 years on the working wharf before it ever poured a b**r.

We're only the second owner in almost 150 years, and you can still feel it in the timber beams and the copper overhead every time you walk in. History you can actually sit inside.

The clocks have gone forward, and something shifts when that happens.

The light hangs around a little longer, the deck starts calling again, and summer feels like it's actually on its way.

Soon enough it'll be boats coming in at sunset and a b**r in hand out on the water's edge. We'll see you out there.

There's a real buzz around Ahuriri and Napier this week with Negroni Week in full swing.

Judges have been through the door tasting everyone's take, and it's been great swapping notes with the other venues taking part too.

This is exactly the kind of thing that makes this stretch of town special, everyone chipping in to make something fun out of one simple drink. Proud to be part of it.

Yes, it might be Spring 🌱 But let's be honest, these evenings can still have a real bite to them once the sun drops.

Good news is our fire's still going strong, and there's been a great little crowd gathering around it most nights lately. So while we wait for those properly warm evenings to arrive, come grab your spot by the flames.

Deck season's coming, but the fire's not going anywhere just yet.

A little peek behind the curtain 👀

We've been testing, tweaking and tasting all week to get our Negroni Week entry just right.

Can't give away the full recipe yet, but we can say there's a Hawke's Bay touch in there somewhere. Just a few more days until you can try it for yourself and tell us what you think.
