We had a fairly busy start to October, attending the Blueberry Conference Blueberries New Zealand where we caught up on the latest industry updates. We also hosted many growers at the Mamaku Blue orchard and our Complex, giving them a chance to see our setup and discuss our challenges and how we manage them. It was a great event that was enjoyed and appreciated by all. It’s always valuable to connect with people in the industry and support them on their journey. Our staff catered for 85 people and did an amazing job setting everything up and keeping it running smoothly.

Did you know that Antioxidant activity increases with altitude? "Plants produce a plethora of secondary metabolites, with a range of biological effects, including antioxidants. Further, plants thriving in high-altitude regions experience numerous environmental stresses that stimulate the production of these phytochemicals in substantial quantities."

Our heirloom highbush blueberry varieties are grown at Mamaku Plateau, at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level.
