Continuing on with the speciality coffees Grahame has roasted another Nicaraguan coffee for you to try next week... Nicaraguan Jumbo Bourbon. The SHB Bourbon is a product of PacaMara and MaraCaturra trees, which are hybrid between Maragogype (natural mutation of old Typica tress) and Pacas or Caturra from the island of Bourbon (La Reunion).

From a 3m high tree, a farfetched coffee with round spice raisin notes and solid body. The SHB Bourbon nestles in the mountainous region of Nicaragua, mainly in Jinotega and Matagalpa in a humid tropical forest climate with lush vegetation.

Hope you enjoy!

We have been receiving positive feedback on the speciality coffees Grahame has been roasting. One of the main constants is how nice it is to try something different every week. Here is feedback on the Nicaraguan Honey... Nicaraguan Honey is fantastic! Full of flavour, with a nice mix of chocolately, 'green', and well-roasted caramel-nutty flavours. Thanks. Well done Grahame!

For next week's Roaster's Pick menu board Grahame has roasted what remains of the Nicaraguan Honey as well as Papua New Guinea Fair Trade Organic. Tasting notes for the Papua New Guinea describe it as a sweet tea like coffee with a light cocoa flavour. Let me know if you have a preference. Enjoy your weekend.

For the Roaster's Pick menu board next week Grahame has roasted Congo Kivu 3 Fair Trade Organic. It has been quite some time since Congo appeared on the Roaster's Pick menu board so a treat for all who have enjoyed it previously.

Tasting notes describe it as having a rich, resinous, complex aroma. Very full bodied coffee, with well rounded fruity acidity. Fine to***co and cedar flavours, complimented by an almost blackcurrant note. Long, lingering cocoa aftertaste.

Enjoy the weekend, the fireworks and hopefully some summer weather!
