We are looking for a part time Cafe Chef experienced in a fast paced environment, who works well within a team. We mainly serve cabinet food including seasonal salads, sandwiches, cakes, pies, scones and artisan pastries.
This position can include short order cooking, but all training will be provided! If you're more into baking that's great too.
On the weekends we have a busy farmer's market on our premises so fresh, local produce is readily available.
The perfect candidate would help with the daily prep, keeping track of the quality of the food served & jumping in wherever needed.
A knowledge of baking breads and pastries is advantageous, as we make everything we serve in house, but is not necessary. Plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.
Experience in a kitchen & excellent communication skills are necessary for this position.
This is a part time job with flexible day shifts, no nights. This position will be running on a fixed roster but might also change due to covering holidays, busy times and unexpected situations. Hours will be approx 15-25 and can be worked across 3 or 4 days
Regular Shift starts 4.30 am, Will include one weekend day.
Located in beautiful Kerikeri, Northland, Bay of Islands.
