Happy first week at Altitude Resurfacing, Saben! 🙌 We are so proud of him.
He’s almost travelled as many kilometres this week as we do in peak wedding season 😂, he’s learning something completely new, getting stuck in and, most importantly, loving it.
We also have to give a big thank you to our friends at Distinct Marquee & Events, who gave Saben his first opportunity out of school, taking him on as a labourer for their busy summer season. It was a great introduction to the working world - hard graft, long days and being part of a fantastic team.
Then, when the seasonal work wound down, he didn’t sit around waiting for something to come to him. He went door knocking, looking for the next opportunity - which ultimately led him to Altitude Resurfacing. There’s something pretty bloody cool about watching your kids head out into the world and start figuring out what their thing is.
Although, given Mat was supposedly destined to be a stock agent before one bus trip from Waitaki Boys’ High to Skyline Queenstown changed everything… who knows where any of these paths will lead!
Love seeing the next generation out there doing their thing ❤️

On a beautiful Bluff day - this is what passion for hospitality looks like 👍
Four days of prep.
Packing in. Building a kitchen from scratch.
Cooking hundreds of kilos of seafood.
