Each month, we're hosting an exclusive Supper Club: two intimate evenings of elevated dining by the open fire in The Loft, celebrating our Winter Menu series.

Expect a generous seasonal menu inspired by our favourite culinary destinations taking on a new life after dark - with lots of playful, considered details throughout, in true Loft style.

Our Wine Club members have first access to these exclusive evenings, and this weekend's event celebrating the close of our New Orleans-inspired menu sold out fast.

If you'd like to join us for our next evening as we indulge in some Proper British Classics on the last weekend of June, please email Maggie to reserve your table - spaces are very limited!

Over the weekend, our organic kitchen gardens came alive for our seasonal Biodynamics Prep Day - a holistic practice that plays a key role in how we grow.

What a turnout! Joined by a wonderful crowd from the local Biodynamics community , we prepared and buried horn manure (Prep 500) - around 2,000 horns this year, double the previous year's efforts thanks to so many hands on deck.

We also worked through a range of essential preparations, burying chamomile (503), yarrow (502), and dandelion (506). Some of the chamomile and dandelion used this time was generously sent from biodynamic farmers across New Zealand - a huge help, as harvesting enough is no small feat.

Fantastic footage from our very own Mahana

A moment for the team that brave the crisp, early mornings to keep the grounds immaculate, and nurture and harvest the incredible organic produce that ends up on your plate.

Robbie has been with us since 2021, bringing a blend of hospitality and growing know-how, with time also spent at Te Mata Mushrooms. Mario is a classical pianist and pro-scooter champion. Mahana moves between the garden and the decks, a DJ with an eye for photography. Soasa adds a creative lens, often dabbling in film. Andrew, with us since 2011, keeps the grounds and lawns immaculate - when he’s not out fishing.

Jen leads the garden team, with over 25 years of experience in organic and biodynamic farming. She is a truly a fountain of knowledge, also leading the upcoming Biodynamic Preparation Day along with the community - Sunday 24 May, 2pm in the garden. All welcome.

As the last of the autumn colour settles across our Giants Estate, three remarkable sculptures stand, striking yet perfectly at home against their breathtaking backdrop.

Paul Day’s Charolais Cattle, inspired by the countryside of his home in Burgundy, captures both the powerful musculature and gentle nature of these magnificent animals. Cast in bronze and resting beneath Te Mata Peak, they never fail to bring a smile to guests, young and old.

His playful Rhode Island Red chickens, elevated in both scale and spirit, celebrate the beauty in the everyday, a reminder that even the most humble subjects can be worthy of admiration.

Down by the garden, a Huia and kōwhai by Paul Dibble offers a poignant reflection on what we stand to lose, and our responsibility to protect it - a sentiment echoed in our ongoing native planting and biodiversity work across our estate vineyards.

The Peabody family are proud supporters of the arts, and the sculptures of Giants Estate are always a conversation starter. In the words of Terry Peabody, “like fine wine, art has a way of cutting through the noise and reminding us of what is really special in life.”
