Golden paddocks and the artistry of rural work! Carolyn Smith’s winning entry in the 2025 LandMarks Photo Collection brings the charm of rural Waikato to life. 👏
Carolyn recalls, "My motivation to take the photo was seeing the eye-catching, repetitive patterns made from a distance as the grass was cut, and with the late afternoon sun shining on the paddock, it gave a beautiful golden glow emphasising the darker green ridges of freshly cut grass". Carolyn's image will appear in the month of November in the 2026 PGG Wrightson calendar. Congratulations Carolyn!

At Grain and Food we are looking for Operators for the following roles in the upcoming Grass and Maize Seasons (September 2025 to April 2026):

- Triple Mower and Big M Mowers
- 4 Rotor Rakes (Kuhn or Claas experience)
- Baler Operator Kuhn, Case Big Square & Road Baler
- Maize Planter Operator experienced with precision 2020 systems and triple GPS systems
- Sprayer Operator, Amazone 24 Meter and self profiled 24 meter Sprayers with triple system controls
- Loader Wagon Operators (Schuitemaker experience required)
- Truck and Trailer Operators, Class 5 license required
- Operators with Cultivation experience in 7 meter discs, 6 furrow ploughs and 7 meter power harrows
