What stood out to us in this Karinga AA was its Aperol/ citrus character - more blood orange, citrus peel, tangerine than the blackcurrant profile we often look for in Kenyan coffees. It still has the clarity and structure we love from Kenya, but with a different kind of brightness: zesty, layered, and gently bittersweet. Available now online

A playful collision of coffee and beer culture, this limited release from Sara at El Silencio is presented in our 125g ‘beer’ cans.

The cherries undergo a controlled 42-hour anaerobic fermentation with beer hops - an unusual co-ferment process that brings a distinctive twist to the coffee’s natural sweetness and floral character. It’s not beer, and it’s not flavoured coffee; it’s a carefully designed fermentation designed to shape the cup in a subtle, expressive way.

Kenya Gikirima AA has landed.

A washed coffee from Embu, grown by smallholder producers near the slopes of Mount Kenya, this is everything we love about a great Kenyan profile: bright, structured, and full of crisp fruit.

Expect vibrant blackcurrant, red apple, and raw sugar sweetness - clean, expressive, and beautifully balanced.

We’ve roasted this lot primarily for filter to highlight its clarity and layered fruit notes, but we’ve also been pulling it as espresso and it absolutely shines.

We’re always drawn to coffees that push boundaries and challenge expectations without losing complexity or balance- and this lot is a perfect example.
Innovative processing meets careful ex*****on, resulting in a cup that’s both expressive and precise.
Indonesian coffees like this are redefining expectations, moving beyond tradition into something brighter and more dynamic. The profile is clean and juicy, layered with caramelised sugar sweetness and a refined, lingering finish.

From smallholder farms around Karamu Village in Sidamo, Tarekegn Hatiso natural is just super easy to like. Dried whole in the sun, it’s full of that classic Ethiopian fruit- juicy berries, peach, floral- but still clean and structured.

Sweet, bright, and silky through the finish. Nothing over the top, just really delicious specialty coffee.

When it comes to sourcing truly exceptional coffee, the best way is to go as direct as possible. When travelling, I had the fortune to meet up with Nikolai Fuerst, German cup tasting champion and owner of Desarroladores de Cafe in Medellin, Colombia.
Nikolai works with some of the highest calibre producers anywhere and mills, sorts, screens and exports the highest quality coffees possible.
Through Nikolai, we cupped more than a few special lots and selected this gem from Wilder Lazo. This coffee was milled to order, vacuum sealed, and airfreighted direct to us to preserve freshness
This is quite possibly the most Geisha-y Geisha we’ve ever cupped.

WE'RE HIRING!
We’re looking for a casual/ part-time team member to join our café floor crew.
This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality- greeting guests, running food, keeping service smooth, and being part of a fast-paced but friendly environment. Previous hospo experience is essential. You should feel comfortable carrying plates, managing tables, staying calm during busy periods, and working as part of a tight-knit team.

Hours are around 20–25 per week. Weekday availability is important, and weekend availability is a big plus.
Immediate start if possible.

We’ve been a little quiet on the new releases, but this washed Java from Diofanor Ruiz is not to be missed! An immaculate washed coffee with an additional anaerobic fermentation stage followed by slow drying on raised beds, this coffee is exceptionally structured and articulate. Expect a high toned floral profile with layered notes of red grape, crisp red apple, and raw honey. The mouthfeel is silky and light, with a long, clean finish
