Marbecks Cafe at 211 Wall Street Mall, Dunedin is looking for a new cook to join the team.
MAIN PURPOSES OF YOUR JOB ARE:
To maintain the production of high quality food, standards of presentation and service standards.
To help develop regular clientele through consistent quality and service.
To contribute to the “team spirit” of the cafe by supporting fellow team members, being committed to the success of the cafe and communicating well
NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES FOR THIS POSITION:
You must have an existing background in commercial food preparation with a minimum of ONE year experience in the industry.
You must have identifiable certification or recommendation ( either formal qualifications or previous job references ) that you have the right experience for this position.
The incumbent will possess good product knowledge, good communication skills, and be able to work in a team environment. You will be involved in team participation and make a positive contribution to the “team spirit” of the cafe.
You will have food preparation skills, the ability to develop your team’s skills, and be able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen, consistently producing meals to excellent standard of both taste and presentation.
You will understand customer needs, possess a good work ethic, and be committed to “Complete Customer Satisfaction”.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
You must:
Follow the basic brief of taste, presentation and price
Prepare and cook orders at fast pace and maintain production of quality food
Help the team to create, update and maintain correct food presentation, recipes and method
Be willing to adapt to new styles, and methods of cooking
Give full support to the Directors vision
Keep a safe, clean, organised and tidy store at all times to “A Grade” standard
Establish strong collaborative working relationship with FOH staff
HOURS : Minimum 35 hours a week
REMUNERATION : $25/ hour to $27/hour
