Sunday drive out to the Otago Peninsula tomorrow? 🌿☕️
If you haven’t booked and secured a spot, don’t worry — there are always takeaway cakes (or anything from the menu)!
Gus’s toast of the week is a beauty: Swiss brown mushrooms, pumpkin purée, basil & almond pesto, roasted butternut squash and fresh greens, finished with a delicious damson reduction. 🎃🌿
We’ll also have our popular lamingtons and, of course, our famous meringue tarts with preserved fruit. ✨
Can’t wait to see you guys from 8:30am tomorrow! ❤️

Here he is... Gus is back with a brand new Toast of the Week! 🔥
Do you like mushrooms on toast? If not, this might just be the one that changes your mind.
Gus's latest creation brings together Swiss brown mushrooms, pumpkin purée, basil and almond pesto, roasted butternut squash, fresh greens, and a rich damson reduction.
Available from Friday to Sunday, 8:30am–2:30pm. See you at Augustines of Portobello.

Happy Saturday! ☀️
We've heard the sunshine is making a comeback today... and so is the Augustines weekend menu.
This week's Toast of the Week comes with silverside beef, Swiss cheese, beetroot & horseradish chutney, a roast beetroot and onion salad, horseradish aioli, and a crunchy sprinkle of wasabi peas.
And yes... lamingtons are back! One of this weekend's flavours is Pear & Ginger (and we think you're going to love it).

Here we are, toast fans! 🤗
Watch what Gus creates this week with humble beetroot and some gloriously ugly, farm-grown horseradish. Proof that the best produce doesn’t have to be pretty.
Our official taste testers reckon this might be one of his best creations yet… 👀.

National Lamington Day was on 21 July… and yes, we missed it because it fell on a Tuesday! 😅
So we're making up for it tomorrow.
We'll have four lamington flavours waiting for you:
🍊 Orange
🍎 Apple
🫐 Blackcurrant
💜 And of course, our much-loved Black Doris plum.

If you missed out today, don't worry—the new Toast of the Week will be back all weekend. Our poached pear toast was a big hit (especially with our lovely local, Janie ❤️).

This one’s for Mark, who might just be following us from the US while he’s away visiting his dad. ❤️🇺🇸
Robyn and Barbara popped into Augustines today and are doing their best to keep the waffle tradition alive by enjoying your favourite dish. 🧇☕️
