By proudly supporting local growers and food producers they strive to use in season produce when designing their delicious weekly menus. Originally based in the historic British Hotel in Lyttelton, which they have now outgrown, the company is now in a more central location in Sydenham.

We never get tired of receiving photos from our friends at Canterbury Tails Animal Rescue showing their rescued animals enjoying Green Dinner Table scraps! 🐷💚

One of the ways we reduce food waste is by only ordering ingredients based on what our customers actually need each week.

Of course, not every vegetable arrives in perfect condition, and there are often offcuts from preparing our fresh ingredients. Whenever we can, these are donated to the rescue pigs and other animal residents at Canterbury Tails rather than going to waste.

Judging by these photos, they're pretty happy about the arrangement! 🥕🐽

It's a small part of what we do, but we love finding ways to make sure we are reducing our impact on the environment.

A huge thank you to the team at Canterbury Tails for the incredible work they do caring for animals in need. 💚

Exciting news - Green Dinner Table has officially entered a new chapter✨🥳

After spending the last 9 months working closely with the team behind the scenes, our awesome Manager, Sonya has officially taken over as the new owner of Green Dinner Table!

While there are some exciting new ideas and projects ahead, the heart of GDT remains the same: delicious vegan food, supporting local, caring about animals and the planet, and making dinner easier for busy people across Aotearoa.

We also want to give a massive thank you to Tom and Chris for creating and growing something so genuinely special over the last 10 years. We feel incredibly grateful to continue the journey they started.

🍝 This week, Green Dinner Table customers across Aotearoa are sitting down to this comforting, flavour-packed dinner: Smoky mushroom fettuccine with zesty peas and spinach 🤤🌱

One of the stars of this recipe is our special house-made smoked mushroom sauce, lovingly made fresh in the GDT kitchen by our chef. Paired with delicious ingredients like roasted mushrooms, fresh parsley, and silky fettuccine, this dish is seriously tasty.

We love imagining all the happy people around the country cooking and sharing meals like this at dinnertime 🥹✨

We were so proud to support the recent fundraising event for NZ charity Beyond Animal Research (BAR) in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.💕🐇

Getting to feed a room full of people who had come together to support animals felt pretty special to us! 🌱

We donated a selection of vegan platters and nibbles for the evening and loved being part of such a positive event focused on creating a future where science can thrive without harming animals.

Animal Research works to end animal testing, and we’re genuinely proud to support the important work they’re doing for animals in Aotearoa ✨
