The festive season is nearly upon us! Red Café will be closed from 22nd December 2025 to 4th January 2026.

We will resume business on Monday, 5th January 2026 with our holiday hours.

Monday to Friday 9am - 2pm
Saturday 10am - 2pm

Happy holidays!
Christmas is coming around again, and we'll be taking a break to rest and recharge. Red Café will be closed for the holidays from 25th December 2024 to 5th January 2025.
Feel free to visit our other sites at Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre, Jellie Park Recreation and Sports Centre, or Taiora QEII Recreation and Sports Centre.

Easter is upon us once more! We will be closed during the Easter weekend, except on Saturday, 30th March. All who need coffee are welcome!

Regular hours will resume on Tuesday.

Season's greetings!

It's our favourite time of the year, which means our team will be taking a break from 23rd December 2023 to 2nd January 2024 - chugging on cocoa, feasting on gingerbread cookies, and attempting to finish as many holiday movies as they can with their whānau.

We'll be back in business on Wednesday, 3rd January 2024 with our holiday hours.

Monday to Friday 9am - 2pm
Saturday 10am - 2pm

If you're craving a coffee, or fancy a dip in the pools, come visit us at our other sites, located at Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre, Jellie Park, or QEII.

We are closed over Easter weekend and then head straight into renovations with the library so we won't see you all until Monday the 1st of May!!!
It feels like it's going to be such a long time without seeing all our lovely regular customers 🥺
We will have lots of coffee, baking and catching up to do together in May!

We would like to thank all our lovely customers who have kept coming back and making us smile during a tough year.

We are now closed to celebrate Christmas and the new year with our families and will open back up on Wednesday the 4th of January with our holidays hours.

9am - 2pm Monday - Friday and
10am - 2pm on Saturdays.

It's that time of year. School is nearly all wrapped up and the festive season is upon us 🎄
Please note that our open hours are reduced during the school holidays.

If you feel like visiting a Red cafe and having a dip in the pools this summer come and visit our other sites located in Halswell library, Jelly park or QEII !!!

Today is the day we say goodbye to our lovely Hayley.
Hayley has been doing wonderful work experience with us at cafe Red every Tuesday morning and has become a highlight of our week as we look forward to seeing her and having her awesome help!
Hayley has become a real asset to our team helping us run the cafe during the busy morning tea rush.
We will miss you Hayley but we are so excited for your new adventure next year.
