Our friends at The Crafted Coffee Company had a visit from some very amateur “escape room enthusiasts” at 4am this morning.

Luckily they were just as cowardly as they were incompetent. After breaking a window and damaging the lock, the alarm activated and they high-tailed it out of there without managing to take anything of significance.

Unfortunately, windows and lock repairs aren’t cheap, so while the thieves walked away empty-handed, Crafted Coffee is now left with an unexpected repair bill.

If you’ve got a little time today, pop by for a coffee or a bite to eat and show some support. Sometimes the best response to this sort of nonsense is simply reminding our local businesses that the vast majority of New Zealanders have their back.
