We're feeling all the good feels this Autumn, thanks to these beautiful wool pile sheepskins, supplied by our friends and neighbours Wilson & Dorset, here at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre Christchurch.

Their sheepskins with natural pile texture are so warm and comfy!

Currently gracing our walls are the stunning paintings of Ōtautahi Christchurch based artist Stacey Turner (Ngāpuhi) who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons - Painting) from University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts.

We love the sense of rhythm and energy in his abstract expressionist works where colour and intuitive mark-making move fluidly around the canvas.

Six years of Cellar Door today. Happy our birthday to you!

Celebrating a top year - in '25 we were awarded:
* "Best Wine Bar in Australasia" at the World Of Fine Wine Magazine World's Best Wine Lists awards, we also got two stars for our wine list
* Our first "Hat" from Cuisine Magazine
* Two Glasses and "Best Of" Award of excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine for the second year in a row
* "Silver Star" in the Best By The Glass List category from Star Wine Lists
* Two of our team named in the Sommelier Edit/Louis Roederer Top 100 Sommeliers list, with Director Tim named at no. 3 and Sommelier Liz at no. 50 in New Zealand

Stoked to be awarded our first "Hat" by at the Good Food Awards this year!

Most of the accolades we've gotten lately have been for our wine list and wine flights, but our food has always been as big a focus for the team, because lunch and dinner are most people's reason for going out!

Wine and food naturally go together, and together they elevate each other. Our menu of classical, traditional accompaniments to wine with a local flavour has been a bit of a closely guarded secret for locals, but it looks like now the national and international media seem to have caught on.

Huge congrats to our team in the kitchen, led by Michael Burgess and Scotty Squicciarini!
