Experienced Barista Wanted ☕

Absolute Coffee House in Cambridge is looking for an experienced barista to join our team, with an immediate start available.

We are looking for someone who enjoys making great coffee, takes pride in what they do, and is confident working in a busy cafe.

This is not a coffee only role. We are a small team, so everyone helps out across FOH with customers, food running, clearing tables, till work and dishes when needed.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 2 years barista experience
• Can hit the ground running
• Is fast, efficient and a good multi tasker
• Is confident on the machine during busy service
• Takes pride in quality and consistency
• Is reliable, works independently and well in a team
• Is happy to help wherever needed across FOH
• Is available for 25+ hours per week
• Can work at least one weekend day
• Can work both opening and closing shifts as rostered

We are Hiring: Sunday Cafe Chef

Absolute Coffee House in Cambridge is looking for an experienced cafe chef to join our team on Sundays.

Hours: Approximately 7:30am until close
Pay rate: $30–$31 per hour, depending on experience
Additional work: Possible weekday and Saturday cover may be available for the right person, if needed
Start: As soon as possible

Previous cafe or commercial kitchen experience is essential. You will need to be reliable, hardworking, and confident working in a busy cafe kitchen while consistently producing tasty, well presented food and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

You will work alongside our existing chef and assist with food preparation, making cabinet food, and preparing dishes from our all day breakfast and lunch menu. You will support the kitchen in delivering consistent, high quality food as part of a great, hardworking, and fun team.

Training will be provided on our current menu, preparation methods, kitchen processes, and presentation standards.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
