One of the greatest privileges of what we do is being invited into people's homes to help celebrate some of life's most special moments.

Last weekend, we had the honour of catering a very special gathering celebrating an 84th birthday. But it was about so much more than a birthday. It was also a celebration of being in remission after 12 months of incredibly tough cancer treatment.

As we chatted while setting up the table, you couldn't not to notice the beautiful love shared between this couple. It really was a powerful reminder of what truly matters.

Moments like these remind us that catering is about so much more than food. It's about helping create the space for memories to be made, stories to be shared, and milestones to be celebrated.

Here's to good health, enduring love, and celebrating every milestone worth raising a glass to. Thank you for choosing us Graham and Barbara❤️

A set up from earlier in the year at one of our favourite venues . White full table styling isn't something we typically offer, we're always happy to lend a hand to bring the vision to life.

We can also take care of the practical details, hiring plates, cutlery and those finishing touches like sand candles.

You know that when the table looks this good… the rest of the night will follow 👌

Who says PPE can't double as table styling? 😉

Last month we had the absolute privilege of catering the opening of the NZ Safety Blackwoods Distribution Centre.

It was a fantastic event to be part of & we had lots of fun and it was all about creating something a little unexpected… a nod to the industry, but done in a way that still felt polished and event ready.

Some weddings just get it right from the very beginning… and this one was exactly that 🤍

Led by Ange, whose proactive approach and genuine care make the Signature Catering team a standout to work with, and a trusted vendor on days like this.

Set at the unique venue every detail of this day was thoughtfully chosen to create a relaxed, generous, and memorable celebration.

Guests were welcomed with a lineup of hand picked canapés, pork belly bites with apple sauce, golden camembert bites with plum sauce, sliders, satay mini kebabs, and crumbed calamari making their way around the room.

From there, the buffet delivered in all the right ways. Red wine marinated beef and champagne ham alongside fresh, vibrant sides including roast vegetable medley, orzo with pesto and pine nuts, broccoli and bacon salad, and our signature kumara, orange and bacon salad that brought a bit of something special to the table.

And to finish, a selection of petite desserts where the photos tell their story.

A true reflection of how great food, a beautiful setting, and the right team come together to create something pretty special ✨

It was a real honour to cater a recent farewell for a remarkable woman, an avid golfer, a dedicated businesswoman, and a proud part of the Franklin community.

We take these occasions seriously, and the details matter. Subtle touches nodded to her love of golf and her strong connection to people.

It’s always about more than just the food in these moments. It’s about creating a space where stories can be shared, memories revisited, and everyone feels quietly looked after.

It’s not just about the food for us, it’s about the feeling it creates. Rich, layered colours, fresh textures, and carefully chosen selections all come together to give that inviting, abundant look.

We all know if there’s one thing we can’t control on a wedding day, it’s the weather ☔️ & yesterday the weather didn’t play the game… however it definetely did not put a dampener on the couples special day.

We had the privilege to cater walk and fork style at an intimate ceremony at a new venue for us north of Auckland at (absolutely stunning venue by the way).

Although the original plan was for outside, the beautiful indoor marble hall was the perfect alternative. Think marble floors, big windows & class.

Asian slaw with chicken, cashew and noodles served in individual noodle boxes
Beef, cheddar and gherkin brioche sliders
Buffalo mozzarella and vine ripe tomato caprese salad, fresh basil, olives, rocket and balsamic

Shrimp cocktail served on an ice berg lettuce leaf with avocado and lemon wedge with citrus dressing

Vegetables Big Day Out - 2026

Last week we had the pleasure of catering the Vegetable Big Day Out in Pukekohe, serving 400 guests across both lunch and dinner.

This event was particularly special for Ange and Karl, as Pukekohe is home for them. Before their life in hospitality, they were market gardeners, so being able to showcase in a place that has history for them was a bonus.

Most of the produce used throughout the menu was sourced locally, celebrating the incredible growers that make the Pukekohe region so well known for its vegetables.

Lunch menu included:
🥪 A selection of rolls, gourmet sandwiches and wraps filled with fresh local salads and vegetables
🥟 Savouries featuring local tomatoes and spinach
🍜 Noodle boxes served with two salads – potato and bacon salad and chicken Caesar salad
🥔 Loaded potato skins with both vegetarian and bacon options
🍰 Sweet treats to finish

Dinner menu included:
🥩 Beef and lamb
🥗 Roast local vegetable salad
🥬 Pukekohe garden salad showcasing seasonal produce like crisp lettuce, spring onions and carrots
🥦 Classic roasted cauliflower salad
🥓 Broccoli and bacon salad
🍠 Roasted beetroot, cashew and spinach salad
🍆 Aubergine parmigiana
🥖 Fresh rolls and condiments

Well done to all of the organisers on a successful day, we look forward to next year.

There's no rest for Signature Catering this Auckland Anniversary weekend 🥂

While some are putting their feet up or heading away, we're out of the office and doing what we do best - catering.

This Saturday we’re lucky enough to be part of:

🏇 Karaka Millions

That's over 500 people we'll be keeping well fed - with an amazing crew of around 30 staff making it all happen.

As we say good bye to 2025, I want to personally thank our staff.

Catering is often a behind-the-scenes, thankless profession, but the long hours, physical work, and constant attention to detail you give never go unnoticed by me.

Quite simply, without all of you who continue to put in the hours, team work and professionalism we wouldn’t be the business we are today.

As cliche as it sounds I’m really grateful for you all & what we have accomplished this year. Thank you to being the heart & faces of Signature.

I hope you all choose to continue on this journey with me in 2026.

That’s a wrap on another big year for Signature Catering ✨

As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you.

To everyone who chose Signature Catering — thank you for trusting us. We truly understand what a privilege it is to be invited into your homes, your venues, and into some of life’s most important moments. Whether it was a celebration, a farewell, or a gathering around the table, we never take that responsibility lightly.

To our incredible team — this year asked a lot, and you delivered every time. The care, respect and professionalism you bring to every event is what sets us apart.

📊 By the numbers this year:
• 15+ weddings (including one all the way in Seattle ✈️)
• 40+ funerals and memorials
• Countless corporate events and private occasions
• Thousands of mouths fed
• Two new vehicles
• New members to our casual team

This year brought strong growth, new opportunities and bigger events — but at the heart of it, we’ve stayed true to what matters most: good food, done well, with care for people.

As we’re working through (with a wedding on 27 December), our response times may be limited over the next few days.

We’re incredibly grateful and excited for what’s ahead in 2026, where we are kicking off in January with our biggest weekend yet 🐴💍

Today marked the start of a big few days for our team. Thursday saw a breakfast delivery full of colour for , a funeral for a lovely local man & finished off with the annual Christmas Lunch for a corporate.

In between all of this there has been alot of prep for our events over the next few days as we see a full weekend ahead of a mix of corporate Christmas lunches, private hostings & weddings.

We never take it for granted when we are requested by a family to cater for a memorial/funeral.

A beautiful setting for the memorial of a special lady who was loved dearly by her family & what better way than by a teddy bears picnic in the garden where she loved spending alot of her time.
