📢 A Heartfelt Thank You from The Gate Café 💖
After 21 incredible years, it’s time for us to say goodbye as The Gate Café passes into new hands.

Due to ill health, we’ve made the difficult decision to sell the business, and it will now be known as George Café, owned by Jorja, our great-niece.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our loyal customers who have supported us over the years. Your friendship, kindness, and unwavering support have meant the world to us.

A special thank you to Shona and Vanessa for their incredible dedication and for going above and beyond whenever we needed you. Your hard work and care have been invaluable, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

While this chapter comes to a close, we’ll forever cherish the memories and connections made along the way.

We wish Jorja every success with George Café and hope you will continue to support her in this new journey.

Hot out of the oven is our 12 hour slow roasted pork shoulder shredded to make our new pulled pork burger with a cabbage slaw on Turkish bread, served with chips and sauce for $15 Then a crowd favourite is back the Thai Beef Salad. (GF)This time has come back better than before come down and try your favourite for $16. See you there 😀

Come in and try our New Salads. On the left is our Moroccan and Bacon Salad and right is Chicken Ravioli. As the weather warms up more, we will be adding more Food to our Menu. So watch this space.

Good evening team, it gives me great joy to announce that we will be opening on Thursday the 14th of May. I can’t wait to open the doors to you all and see your lovely faces. We have a special running for our opening Day onThursday!! For every food transaction, you will receive a free Regular coffee.

We have changed our hours that we are open
Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:00pm
Saturday-Sunday 9:00-1:30pm
But hours could fluctuate depending on how busy we are.

We are trying to keep up with all rules and regulations that government is providing us with. So that means sticking with the 3 S’s Seated which means when you enter you have to sit in one of our tables allocated, seperated which means staying when possible 1 metre apart, and single server so we will provide you with 1 person to serve your table.

We have also altered our menu to make it easier for us and so that we will be able to get the food out to you as fast as we can. There will also still be limited selection of cabinet food available.

Please be patient with us in this time. I know we have all been through a lot in the last few months so let’s just stick together and we will get through this together.
