Quietly indulgent. Thoughtfully made. A place to pause, to nourish, to balance. Picasso Cafe began when a chemistry-trained pharmacologist grew quietly drawn to gastronomy and nutrition. The same discipline once applied to molecules - balance, timing, restraint - now shapes every recipe here. At Picasso, pastries are made with real butter and Aotearoa honey, developed through 24-hour cold ferment

ation and baked fresh each morning. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is artificial. Our savoury offerings draw from traditions thousands of years old, where grains are patiently transformed through water, time, and gentle fermentation. The result is depth of flavour, a lingering finish, and food that supports digestion rather than overwhelming it. These sensations often find their final expression in a cup. "The Forbidden Cup" - our signature pistachio coffee - balances Arabica beans from the Ethiopian Highlands, dutched cocoa powder from Belgium, and intensely sweet pistachios from Sicily.
