The Mariner is closed.
I would like to first thank our supporters and fans for the past 6️⃣ years.
Thanks to Richard and his team at Altezano Bros (Yes, I’m filthy dirty coffee fiend 😂), my D🍩E Girls, our British 🇬🇧 and Irish ☘️ fans, Alan McElroy, Dusty and his team, Tav and the SkyTV crew (very professional bunch), Ms. Paris, Neil Finn, Robyn Malcolm, Amanda Billing, Jack and Trelise Cooper, Bree Tomasel (thank you for the post-mortem mention in the Herald ☠️😂), NZHerald, and Urbanlist.
Extremely proud of the food we served (especially our 3X Cooked Hand-Cut Potato Chips!) and our more unique creations (Indian Beer Batter, Sichuan Pepper Chinese Beer Batter..). It has been one hell of an experience.
As the sole business owner running this shop for 6️⃣ years, it has inevitably taken a toll on me (the hand-cut potato chips being both a blessing and a curse).
👊 Respect to those running a food business (especially a bricks and mortar shop).
Best wishes to everyone and their foodie travels! 😋
