TheCafe Located in the heart of Helensville, The Cafe has enjoyed serving locals and visitors for over 30 years.

Blackboard favourites include traditional kiwi cuisine and scones, freshly baked daily. Food is prepared and cooked onsite and we pour Atomic Coffee.

We are seeking applications for full time and part-time chefs role for The Cafe at Helensville.

The collaborative and positive kitchen team is seeking additional support from talented and hardworking Chef to come on board.

Tasks & responsibilities

Good knowledge of the Food Control Plan.
Strong organisation skills
Good time management
Leadership skills
Ability to multitask
Excellent Communication skills
Good attitude

To apply you will need to have relevant experience in a similar role with knowledge of kitchen techniques. You’ll also need great attention to detail and be able to multitask under pressure. For the team to work to an optimum you will need to have a strong work ethic, a positive energy and be a team player. We are seeking individuals that have a passion for the Cafe industry and we expect you to strive to deliver the highest standards possible and be able to show proven success.

With a flexible approach to working hours, you’ll need to be open to working shifts, including weekends and some public holidays.

We are welcoming everyone to come and have coffee,cabinet, and limited menu items for trial from Monday..

We will post our full menu in few days as we get responses from our lovely customers for it…we are opening 7am to 3pm, 7days..

We are delighted to announce that we are going to open from tomorrow onwards for takeaway coffees and some cabinet food. Because of COVID restrictions we are opening for takeaways only. Hopefully everything will get sorted out soon. We would love to welcome all our lovely customers to dine in and have a cup of coffee with us.

Hello Everyone,
Firstly we are announcing that the cafe is under New Management and we are thanking our all Helensville community for giving us opportunity to feed you.

We are very pleased and excited to announce that we are opening our cafe soon Hopefully Early next week if Renovations done and dusted by end of this week according to our plan. Sorry for inconvenience, We are so excited to see our regulars again.

We are very excited to update you soon with pictures of new decor, ambience and Menu with some new faces of our cafe.

You may have been wondering what is happening at The Cafe. Some will have seem Kara’s post so already know.
The Cafe has a new owner as from tomorrow but I would like to take this opportunity to thank - firstly the wonderful staff who have stuck it out with me. I think they are all amazing and as they will still be there you won’t lose them too. They are what makes the Cafe what it is. Thank you for the love🥰
To all the customers who have supported us for many years and become well loved regulars, thank you, thank you. I am a bit disappointed we didn’t get to have a party but I want to thank those of you I know would have been there! I’ve missed out on a lot of hugs - and I dare say tears too (mine)!
Good luck to the new owner Sandeep Kumar, I’m sure you’re in good hands.

Here we go again, only different, but we can do it! I’m sure we can handle a few days rest!Like most of you we’ll be safe at home for the next week at least.
Maybe some time to come up with inspired creations for the cabinet! You never know😉
We’ll be up and running as soon as we can but in the meantime slow down, enjoy the fresh air, recharge and be well!
