🔥 Grilled Makchang: A Flavor Explosion! 🔥
Grilled makchang (막창) is a dish loved for its chewy texture and rich, savory flavor 😋. Made from the makchang (the part connecting the stomach and intestines of a pig or cow 🐷), it’s thoroughly cleaned and then either marinated or simply seasoned with salt before being grilled over an open flame 🔥.
As it cooks, the fat renders out, making the outside crispy and the inside deliciously chewy 🤤. The deep umami taste is taken to the next level when dipped in doenjang (soybean paste) 🫘, gochujang (spicy red pepper paste) 🌶️, or soy sauce for an extra punch of flavor!
