Introducing Santa Cruz Espresso from the Caconde region of Brazil 🇧🇷

Francisco (also known as Chiquinho Viana), his wife Maria Izabel, and their three sons Denis, Denilson, and Wagner run the fazenda alongside a dedicated team of resident and seasonal staff. Standing at an altitude of 1000-1200 meters above sea level, this farm is the perfect spot for growing top-quality coffee.

Introducing our newest offering from central America: Maria Mateo from Guatemala 🇬🇹

Maria is a second generation coffee farmer from a Popti Mayan community in Concepcion Huista. After some years of working as a laborer, she was excited to receive this land from her parents 15 years ago as an inheritance. For Maria, caring for the environment and monitoring coffee quality are the two keys to success at her farm. This washed coffee is bright and clean with notes of dark chocolate, orange and pecan.

📣 New Coffee 📣
We are glad to have Buwobodeya from Uganda back on the menu 🇺🇬 This is our second year buying this coffee with help of The Coffee Gardens

The Coffee Gardens was established in 2017 with the goal of producing incredible specialty coffee in an ethical way, offering a transparent and direct link between coffee producers and coffee consumers. This lot is named after the village Buwobodeya, where many of the farmers live. It is located on the mountain above The Coffee Gardens station.

This weekend was the Norwegian National Barista Championships here in Oslo. We wanted to give a big shout-out and congratulations to Thea (visualmetal ) for making it through to the finals and coming in a strong 4th place 👏 🎉 💪 🙌

Thea has been representing FUGLEN in competition since 2022 and this year she worked with our roastery team to develop a special competition profile of our new René Ccasa Inca Geisha (SL-9) from Peru 🇵🇪

Well done Thea!! Congrats to all of the competitors and for taking home the gold!

We are excited to launch René Ccasa Geisha from the Pacaybamba in the Cusco region of Peru 🇵🇪

Rene Casa is part of the new generation of farmers actively engaging the specialty coffee market. This coffee is actually called Geisha Inca which is the common name for the SL9, or Ethiopian heirloom, that has mutated in the district for decades. They were widely neglected due to their low yield but now with the experienced quality management Rene is planting more of these wonderful varieties at even higher altitudes, producing excellent results and beneficial returns to the community.

📣 New Coffee 📣
We are excited to have the newest crop of Danche here and on the menu! This lot comes from around 400 smallholder producers from the area of Chelbesa located in Gedeo Zone. They all deliver their coffee cherries to the Danche washing station, which is owned by SNAP coffee exporters. This coffee is grown at high elevation, something which significantly contributes to the high quality and complexity of flavour.
