On June 20, Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri welcomes the Norwegian folk-rock duo Askefast back to the stage.

Brothers Håkon Høiberg and Hallvard Høiberg have been playing together since childhood and may already be familiar to some through projects like Dim Gray and De Ubrukelige. As Askefast, they create a sound that moves effortlessly between acoustic intimacy and energetic, guitar-driven arrangements.

Their setlist spans decades, from the 1950s to today, blending traditional tunes with unexpected reinterpretations. Audiences can expect everything from Irish folk classics like “Drowsy Maggie” to distinctive versions of modern tracks such as Muse’s “Hysteria” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”

The result is a dynamic live experience shaped as much by creativity as by musical range.

Guests are welcome to join for dinner before the show or drop by later to enjoy the music. 🤟🏽

With driving rhythms, soaring melodies, and a restless energy that refuses to stand still, the band moves effortlessly from the familiar to the uncharted. One moment feels like a fireside gathering in Trøndelag, the next like a late night in a crowded Dublin pub.

It is music for those who are curious, for those who want to feel something new, and for those who are not afraid to follow where the night leads.

Here we are at the Grünerløkka beer festival with the fellow brewmasters we occasionally collaborate with 🍻🤝🏼. As the photos suggest, it’s comforting to surround yourself with other fully grown adults who act as if they’ve taken a heavy sack of hops directly to the skull.
