Excellence in Norwegian porcelain since 1941. For generations, we have been busy at our scenic river

Came across this fun image from , and it made us think.
⠀
Not because of what it shows, but because of what it doesn’t.
⠀
The countless plates it took to get to this point.⠀
The optimism that kept us moving forward.⠀
The grit that pushed us through.⠀
And the kind of naivety that got us started in the first place.
⠀
Perfection doesn’t arrive at the beginning.
⠀
It comes later.
Much later.⠀
⠀
85 this year.
⠀
Happy birthday to us.

Being better than anyone else is not an accident or down to luck.
⠀
It comes down to practice.
⠀
Malcolm Gladwell said, ‘Talent is the ability to practise’.
⠀
Isn’t that a truth?
⠀
Happy Friday from the factory!

made its debut in 2021 as part of our standard decors.
⠀
Today, it’s available as made-to-order in any color you want under our new pricing system.
⠀
But we still have a soft spot for the original launch, ranging from warm red to soft pink, as seen here at the food bar in Oslo.
⠀
Fun fact: The series even got its own playlist.

Nestled in the heart of Grünerløkka, Bar Lupo offers a cozy Venetian experience, serving small, savory Venetian snacks and silky handmade pasta, paired with Italian wines served in traditional small glasses known as Ombra.
⠀
Inside, warm wood, deep green tones, and soft leather set a cozy, old-world mood that shifts from laid-back days to intimate nights.
⠀
One of the primary goals for the space was to create a bar and backdrop that could host the chef’s “pasta theatre”. This stage silently narrates the handcrafted nature of the chef’s pasta.
⠀
On weekends, the expansive bar is cleared, becoming a stage where dough is rolled out in full view of guests.
⠀
Thank you, and . Proud to be a small part of it all.⠀

With the introduction of two new colors — beige and white — Figgjo Tilt continues to grow, adding warmth and greater versatility to the Tilt family.
⠀
The two new color options are available across five of the original shapes:
⠀
- Two jugs⠀
- Two bowls⠀
- One small plate⠀
⠀
The pieces retain the familiar raw, unglazed exterior, while the new colors introduce a glossy glazed interior that brings a quieter sense of refinement.
⠀
The glossy surface also improves durability, offering greater resistance to cutlery marks and everyday use.⠀
⠀
You can explore all three colors and the full range of pieces through the link in our bio.

What Makes the Perfect Stoneware Collection.
⠀
Well, in our book, a great stoneware needs to be durable enough for daily use.
⠀
Refined enough for special events.
⠀
And designed to instantly elevate the table.
⠀
A soft-but-sturdy feel.
⠀
Our Tilt series is all of the above. And until recently, you could only get this in black with a matte glaze finish on the inside.
⠀
But now, Tilt is moving in a lighter, warmer direction.⠀
⠀
Trust us when we say it isn’t always easy to choose the perfect color or finish.
⠀
After much searching, we came across two colors we fell in love with.
⠀
So, we had no choice but to take them both.

Our first launch of the year.

Announcing Monday. 👀

Big congrats to Mathias Lynghamar from Rønnede Kro, who won the prestigious Rising Star 2026 cooking competition in Denmark yesterday.
⠀
Held at Melstedgaard on Bornholm, the competition showcased young culinary talent, and Lynghamar impressed the judges with his main course and dessert.
⠀
We won’t say it had anything to do with the plate – but we won’t deny it, either.

Inspired by Mexico’s diverse regions, with Cal- and Tex-Mex touches, is a new 225-seat Mexican restaurant at the corner of 34th and Ninth Ave in NYC.
⠀
Expect all the signature touches: cheeky high-low spins on classics, tableside presentations, and creative, colorful cocktails (yes, there’s a frozen margarita).

For generations, we have been busy at our scenic riverbed premises, manufacturing tableware porcelain of the highest quality.
We still believe that crafting our porcelain right here, at Figgjo, makes for a better product. The factory buildings have been upgraded, the machinery is state of the art. We have everything in place to make beautiful, functional, durable porcelain.
Usability is key. But beautiful tableware speaks to our senses as well.
Figgjo is part of the Scandinavian design heritage, and design never sleeps. It evolves. Function is always paramount – every detail is cared for to help each piece fulfil its intended purpose. The clean lines and understated elegance of our products are a result of form following function.
Glazed to last
Everything we make is checked for faults at every stage of production, and we never compromise on quality. That is why we offer glazed surfaces exclusively on all our porcelain. We believe that a smooth, glassy surface heightens the dining experience. A glazed surface is quieter when it comes in contact with cutlery. Less noisy when stacked. It feels more comfortable to the touch. Glazed porcelain will also last longer and is hygienically superior.
Mixing it up
Figgjo stands proudly in the Scandinavian design tradition, and we aim for timelessness and flexibility. Pieces from different collections can be mixed and matched as desired. Older products released decades ago combines beautifully with our newest designs.
Figgjo delivers porcelain to everyone from Michelin starred restaurants to corporate canteens, cafés, and schools. Every customer has their own specific needs. Together, we discover how to meet those needs.
Sometimes, a personal touch is needed. We offer bespoke decor for your project.
We offer customised decor for any order of 48 pieces or more. This we do as a special service – we don’t charge for the design work involved. Should the dinner plates come with a baby blue lip? Excellent. Would you prefer a light yellow rim for your cups? Wonderful, we can do that. It all depends on what the project asks for.
Leaving a light footprint
Figgjo is a green manufacturer. We use no harmful materials. We recycle all materials not ending up as a finished product. There are no toxic emissions of any kind. Not only is this crucial for keeping our environment clean – zero waste is also very good for business. It means we can do more with less. It is truly a win-win.
