Soul Thing starts the night with a free soulful couchside jam session in a living room-inspired space at street level. A space where friends pull up, conversations flow, and drinks go down as vinyl records carry the sounds.

The night gradually shifts to the basement, where the tempo picks up, with sounds ranging from alternative R&B and hip-hop to Afro riddims, bass and everything in between.

That’s where a music publisher comes in. During Popradar Academy on Tuesday 13 October, Popradar brings together a panel of experts to talk about what publishers do, how they work, and what they can do for you as an artist.

This month, The Grey Space presents SKYAA + Thor Kissing + Tara Pasveer for an evening of indie, neo-soul and art pop.

SKYAA [Kya | Solo travel] is an English singer-songwriter based in The Hague, blending neo-soul, modern jazz and electronic music into warm, intimate and powerful sounds.

Thor Kissing [Thor Kissing] is your favourite musician’s favourite weirdo – and that’s exactly what he is. From electronic dance music in his teens to childlike, grown-up indie pop in his early twenties, he might send you home with an indescribable feeling.

Tara Pasveer [Tara Pasveer] is a singer and producer guided by a belief in music’s power to transform even hopelessness into confidence, blending lush vocals, electronics and rhythms into music filled with melancholy and playfulness.

Tonight, But What About Sessions takes over the grey space together with two exceptional groups:

O Tree [Wiek Hijmans, Bart Soeters & Mees Siderius], who see the tree as a symbol of movement and connection, blend jazz rock, chamber music, and drone sounds with improvisation, deep grooves, layered harmonies, and unexpected textures, combined with visuals and spoken text.

Ear to the Earth Ensemble [Ear To The Earth] picks up where they left off during the previous BWA Session with a second preview of their new performance ‘Weerwerk’. Help the cactus sing, make rain fall, and discover the secrets of weather workers.
