JCB has just made a huge leap for clean machinery. Their hydrogen-powered engine has officially received full EU type-approval, meaning it's now legal to sell and use across all 27 EU countries, plus EEA and EFTA regions.

Instead of going electric or fuel-cell like most companies, JCB took a different route — they modified a traditional diesel engine to run on pure hydrogen instead. The result? Zero CO2 from the tailpipe, just water v***r, while keeping the same power and durability heavy machinery needs.

Backed by a £100 million investment and a team of 150 engineers, JCB has already built and tested over 130 engines on real equipment like backhoes and telescopic handlers.

This could be a game changer for construction and farming, especially in remote areas where charging stations aren't an option.
