People who enjoy resins are always divided on a crucial aspect of the matter: to press it, or not to press it?
๐Cannabis resin, once extracted from the plant through a sieving technique, present itself with a "wet sand" texture, that is subsequently either packed like that for consumption or pressed using different techniques (hydraulic press in Morocco, hand pressing in Afghanistan, or the recently developed "Frenchy Cannoli technique" of gently rolling a glass bottle filled with hot water on a dried batch of iceolator protected with cellulose plastic). Cannabis resin in powder form has a strong aroma, being it's structure so loose that it tends to disperse a lot of volatile terpenes in the air, filling the nostrils with the pungent smell of the genetic used to extract it: if consumed like this, the flavor stays pungent and the high is more influenced by a higher percentage of THC๐คฏ (a lot of the cannabinoids profile change through the pressing procedure, being heat and pressure one of the factors that facilitate the conversion of THC into CBN). Resin that gets pressed, on the other hand, offers a smoother smoking experience, a more round flavor, and a high that is more balanced between body and mind.๐๏ธโฎ๏ธ
For this reasons you can often hear hash smokers debating over which is the best way to enjoy a resin. We don't believe there is an absolute answer, each one of us have his own opinion and the personal experience is what counts on this matter, but at the same time if you want to store your resin for some time, you will have to press it to not let it loose its properties too fast... So now that you know, either you consume that shiny loose resin fast, or better you make a nice little temple ball out of it and put it in the fridge! ๐๐ช๐ช๐จ๐จ๐จ
