Two brothers with very conflicting personalities and in spite of that on a similar mission: To conquer the whole world with their passion and love for good food! Dear guests,

Last weekend marks the closing of a chapter for us. As restaurant Hulscher’s closes its doors and makes room for a fresh, new concept within the walls of Die Port van Cleve.

We want to thank you for being part of our story, by having one of the famous numbered steaks, enjoying the live jazz music on our Jazz Nights, staying with us through tough times during covid and enjoying good food, from local suppliers in the heart of Amsterdam.

While our story ends here, the story of Die Port van Cleve continues with a brand new chapter. One inspired on its extensive history but also bringing something new to Amsterdam. Follow Bouillon d’Amsterdam to stay up to date with this next chapter taking place in Die Port van Cleve.

Due to the great success of our monthly Jazz Nights we have decided to add an extra Jazz Night each month!🎉🧡

Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month Hulscher’s hosts a Jazz Night where good food and great music come together in harmony. The 3rd of July will be the next one, will you be there?

Did you know Dutch people do not always eat deep fried snacks when having drinks?

In Dutch culture it is very common to have snacks when having drinks and the image that comes to mind are often the deep fried snacks like ‘bitterballen’ and ‘frikandellen’, but in the last years we’ve seen a rise of the French charcuterie in our country too.

‘Borrelen’ as we call it, which literally translates to bubbling, and is always pared with a nice ‘borrelplank’ filled with luxury meats, aged cheeses, traditional pickles and some bread or crackers.

At Hulscher’s we serve a well selected charcuterie board with quality meats and products from local origin, try it yourself als a starter to share or during one of our famous Jazz Nights on Thursday evening!
